Charcoal Gray concrete top garden bench with cedar base

I decided to start making things with concrete as a new medium to try. Here's the first concrete top bench that I made. It is dyed charcoal gray and has hand chipped / cracked travertine tile accents that one of my friends was going to throw away. The rugged base is made out of cedar and has multiple layers of UV/ moisture resistant clear coat. The 4" x 4" legs have a plastic furniture slide on the bottom to further
protect them from moisture
and ease in moving around.

Knotty Pine Curvy Mirror

I found some old dry 2" x 6" s in my barn that had a lot of character and I decided to make them into a mirror frame. This frame is approximately 3ft x 4ft so this is a good sized mirror. The wood had been sanded and ground down to show the natural colors and knots.
The mirror for this pieces was picked up in a second hand shop and had it's own interesting history. It was made in 1959, back east by the Galax Mirror company.

Pine wood "Twisty Shelves"

These unique shelves are made from some 1" x 12" pine boards that were sitting in the barn of our small farm when we bought it. These shelves will sit flat against your wall but give the illusion of being all twisted.

Rustic farm chain barn wood mirror

The frame for this mirror was made with unique aged wood with some yellow/green lichen growing on it. I found this wood in eastern Washington along with this neat old farm chain that I've wrapped around the edge for added visual effect.

Antiqued barn wood mirror (Black and Green)

I made the frame for this mirror when I was experimenting with making an antiqued finish. I have a stack of 100 year old barn wood that I've been using to make my rustic frames. The old wood really took well to the mulitple color coats that I gave it and the raised wood grains sanded well for a nice finish.

Aged barn wood mirror

I made the frame for this mirror from some old barn wood that I found in eastern Washington on a road trip. The nice farmer was tearing an old barn down and let me grab some pieces to use. I just wanted to make a simple mirror to show off the beauty of the aged wood.
